APPEARANCE:
Without his hunter-nin mask on, Haku looks very androgynous and can easily be mistaken for a girl given the right clothing. He has long black hair that reaches a few inches past his shoulders, and his eyes are a mix of brown with a bit of yellow. Most of the time he's smiling pleasantly.
In the series, he's shown wearing two different styles of clothing that represent the two sides of his own personality - the ruthless shinobi and the kind boy.
PERSONALITY:
Haku is a very kind person who's gone through a lot of difficulties in life. He was unwanted and unloved when he was younger when his bloodline limit was discovered, and he wandered aimlessly through the town where he lived in, just surviving without any hope, dream, or future.
When Zabuza took him in, Haku willingly and wholeheartedly devoted himself to the missing nin, the only person who acknowledged his existence and gave him a reason to live. He became fiercely protective and loyal to Zabuza, not minding that he was being used as a tool for Zabuza's own purposes. This devotion is what empowers Haku to become a true 'shinobi,' a merciless killing tool, when this philosophy itself goes against his naturally kind nature. He will avoid killing others if he could.
